Valentine's Crafts for Kids

Looking for something to do with the kids this weekend that doesn't involve loading them into the car?  Valentine's Day is Monday—why not make some homemade valentine cards or gifts?

Stained glass hearts

These cute ornaments can hang in the window even after Valentine's day has passed.   This project is easy to do and uses minimal supplies.  

Heart Hands

This would be a great keepsake for a grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc. I'm going to give a card similar to this to my daughter's daddy.  The instructions say to use lace paper to attach the heart.  However, you can use any paper you like. 

Heart Dragonfly

Included in this tutorial are two versions of the craft.  For younger kids, a template is provided.  When doing this with older children, they can create the hearts themselves.  The dragonfly may be turned into a card, puppet, or a valentine's day crown.

Crayon Hearts 

Looking for a way to recycle those broken crayons?  These hearts are inexpensive to create and make great gifts.
