Tolland Fire Crews Respond to 3 Incidents In 6 Hours Tuesday
A two-car crash Thursday evening closed a section of Route 74 in Tolland, one of three incidents in town involving two road closures.
TOLLAND, CT — A section of Tolland Stage Road was closed Tuesday evening after two vehicles collided, fire officials said. It was one of three incidents on the day.
The Tolland Stage crash took place at about 7:40 p.m.
Fire officials said the crash was along the 400 block of Tolland Stage Road, also known at state Route 74.

There was no immediate word on injuries.
It was the third potentially major call for Tolland firefighters Tuesday. At 4 p.m., they were dispatched to the area near Exit 68 eastbound on Interstate 84 for what at first appeared to be a vehicle fire.

It turned out to be a blown engine, fire officials said.
At 2 p.m. fire units were on the the scene of a crash on the 200 block of Goose Lane. The road was closed for a short time.
