Victim in Fatal Tolland Crash Identified

Police have identified the victim of a fatal crash Wednesday morning in Tolland.

Douglas Gottier, 57, was killed after his Ford Econoline crashed into a tree on Route 74 shortly before noon Wednesday, according to police.

Gottier was a 1977 graduate of Tolland High School, and owner of Gottier Small Engine Repair at 427 Tolland Stage Road, just yards from where the fatal accident occurred.

State police are still investigating the accident, and ask anyone with information to contact them at 860-896-3200.
