Walter Lee Thomas, 64, of Somers, and formerly of Tolland, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 13, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Rutherford, New Jersey, the son of the late Walter and Amy (Palmer) Thomas, he grew up and lived in Rutherford, NJ, Tolland and Ellington before moving to Somers last year. Walter was a printer and he worked for various printing companies in the area for many years. He was a member of the River of Life Christian Fellowship Church in Tolland. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Cristina K. Thomas of West Hartford; the mother of his daughter, Pat Thomas of Southington, and his sister, Sherry Thomas of Arizona. He was an amazing father and a selfless man who will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His family will receive friends for memorial calling hours on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 12 - 2 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon.
