Weaving, 100-MPH Driver Slams Into Highway Median In Tolland: Police
A suspected drunken driver was first taken to a hospital then to the lockup after a high-speed crash in Tolland, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT β A driver weaving in-and-out of traffic at better than 100-mph wound up slamming against a concrete median on a stretch of Interstate 84 in Tolland, fire officials and state police said.
The incident took place at 2:16 p.m. Friday, state police said.
According to a state police accident information summary, a 2019 Dodge Durango being driven by a 37-year-old Clifton, NJ, man, was headed westbound on Interstate 84 just prior to Exit 69, in Tolland.

He reached speeds of better than 100 mph and was crossing several lanes of traffic when he hit another vehicle in the center lane, according to witnesses referenced in the crash report. The Durango then wound up slamming into the center median, according to the crash report.
The driver was first taken to an area hospital with minor injuries and he was later taken to the Troop C barracks, where state police charged with with a lane violation and driving under the influence. according to an arrest report.
