Wheelie Binge In Tolland Costs Dirt Bike Rider 3 Charges: State Police

A few tricks on busy roads in Tolland landed a dirt bike rider in court, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT β€” A 24-year-old who showed off a few tricks along three state roads in Tolland last week is facing three criminal charges, state police said.

The incident began at 5:48 p.m. on state Route 195 in Tolland, according to an arrest report. State police said they responded to complaints about a man on an unregistered dirt bike performing wheelies in "heavy traffic" on Route 195.

According to an arrest report, a trooper followed the dirt bike along the Tolland Green and then to Route 74, on which he was performing "low-speed" wheelies.

The rider wade his way to the Extra Mart on Route 30, where he was boxed in by state police, according to an arrest report.

The Tolland resident was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle, driving while under suspension, reckless driving and interfering with police.
