Wires, Tree Go Down On Main Road In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — Emergency crews rushed to the main thoroughfare through Tolland Wednesday after receiving reports about a tree and wires down.

The call came in at about 1:15 p.m.

Fire officials said the trouble spot was on Route 195 — known locally as Merrow Road — near Anthony Road.

Fire officials were urging motorists to use caution while driving in the area and to seek alternate routes. No injuries were reported.
