What a scandal! What a commotion! In the wee hours of this Friday morning, under the Waning Gibbous Moon, Wizards staged a protest at the Tolland Youth Garden. The Wizards, along with Fairies and Recycle-Crows, guard the Garden from gnomes, giants, crows, moles and other mischief makers. They are outraged that the Fairies did not include them in plans for a festival at the Garden, even calling it a “Fairy Festival”. According to Chief Wizard, Good Soil, Wizards are demanding inclusion in the event and threaten to go on strike if their demands are not met. Tolland Youth Garden Coordinator, Sandie Benjamin, was quoted as saying, “This is a major disruption of the team spirit at the Youth Garden. To not include the Wizards is a shocking oversight. Perhaps a dark spell has come upon the Fairies”. Good Soil was heard saying that dark magic is a possibility. The Fairy Queen, Grow Well, could not be reached for comment. In the meantime, mark your calendar: Saturday, June 7, 2 pm – 4 pm at the Tolland Youth Garden. Bring your whole family. The fee is $5 for individuals ($10 family cap) We’ll begin with storytelling, face painting, and crafts at Crandall Pavilion before journeying through the enchanted forest to the Tolland Youth Garden. Learn how to build your own Fairy (better add Wizard!) house from natural materials gathered near our Monarch Way Station. This event promises enchanting fun for all ages but magical for ages 3-8!
