The incident was on Wednesday, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT — A woman in a BMW hit the back of a tractor-trailer on Interstate-84 on Wednesday night, fled the scene and was eventually tracked down by state police at a local strip joint, according to an accident report.

At 7:38 p,m.on Wednesday, a FedEx tractor-trailer was traveling in the right lane on I-84 eastbound, just before Exit 67, state police said. A 2007 BMW 328xi driven by 30-year-old Danielle Bouvier of Goodrich Road, Farmington, hit the truck from behind, state police said.

Bouvier fled the scene, but the car then "became inoperable" and stopped east of where the crash took place, state police said.
