Woman Wandering On Highway In Tolland With Gas Can and Purse Facing ID theft Charges: State Police
A woman found wandering along the side of Interstate 84 with a gas can is in trouble for other reasons, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT — A woman found wandering along the side of Interstate 84 with a gas can and a purse is facing ID theft-related charges, state police said.
The incident took place on April 1, according to an arrest report.
At 1:27 p.m. that day, state police encountered a woman walking along the eastbound shoulder of I-84 near in between exits 67 and 68 carrying a gas can and a purse, according to an arrest report. It's a notoriously dangerous portion of the highway.

When a trooper questioned the woman, he located drug paraphernalia, narcotics and "numerous" debit cards not belonging to her, according to an arrest report.
The woman, a 41-year-old from Hartford, was charged with the counts of criminal impersonation, a single count of illegally taking a payment card, three counts of controlled substance possession and two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia, according to an arrest report.

The woman was also wanted for first-degree criminal trespass out of Bloomfield, according to a warrant.
