• CTDOT is Developing Plans to Renovate the NWCTD Facilities Building at Church Street in Torrington (ct.gov) — A major state-funded renovation is being planned for the Northwestern CT Transit District headquarters at 281 Church Street in Torrington, upgrading bus storage, maintenance, and administrative space and preparing the facility for an eventual zero-emission, electric fleet. Final design plans are expected by January 2027, with construction bidding targeted for spring 2027, positioning Torrington as a regional hub for cleaner public transit operations.
