2 Trumbull Teens Arrested On Drug Charges

The teen were arrested after several ounces of marijuana was found in a vehicle, according to police.

TRUMBULL, CT — Two teens were arrested on drug charges after marijuana was found in a vehicle, according to police.

Police got an anonymous tip about a suspicious vehicle in a wooded area near West Wind Road June 13 around 8:25 p.m.

Officers arrived and found three males along with a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, said Lt. Keith Golding, police spokesman. A K-9 detected the presence of drugs inside the car.

More than four ounces of marijuana was found inside and it was packaged in a way to indicate it was for sale, Golding said.

Operator Kevin Gamarro, 18, and passenger Joseph Turner, 19, were each charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and operating a drug factory. Both were held on $10,000 bail.

A juvenile passenger was released at the scene.
