$20,000 Settlement for Former Trumbull School Facilities Manager
The former manager sued First Selectman Tim Herbst after he lost a business deal with Trumbull Loves Children preschool.

The Town of Trumbull has settled with former school facilities manager Al Barbarotta after a deal with Trumbull Loves Children preschool fell through following an investigation launched by First Selectman Tim Herbst.
The two parties negotiated outside of court after a judge ruled there was enough evidence to go to trial, according to the Trumbull Times.

Herbst launched an investigation into AFB Construction Management. The investigation led to some concerns over proper permits.
Herbst said the $20,000 in insurance money paid out for the settlement is much less than the millions the town has spent on sometimes flawed work and that the new facilities manager has done more for the school system than Barbarotta did in 30 years.
