3 Fires Extinguished By Trumbull Firefighters: Nichols FD
Crews found and extinguished three fires within an hour and a half, according to Trumbull fire officials.
TRUMBULL, CT — Firefighters jumped into action Wednesday afternoon after multiple fires were reported in Trumbull, according to fire officials.
According to the Nichols Fire Department Facebook page, the department received reports of a possible brush fire on Route 15 southbound, just south of exit 51, around 3 p.m.
After receiving multiple 911 calls reporting multiple fires in the area, the department's dispatch center called in additional crews from the Trumbull Center Fire Department.

A total of three fires were found and extinguished within an hour and a half, according to fire officials.
Due to the size of the third fire, access was made from both Route 15 at exit 50 and Columbine Drive. Additional crews from the Long Hill and Stratford fire departments were also called to the area, fire officials said.

Exit 50 southbound was closed for approximately an hour and a half during this incident to ensure crew members' safety, fire officials said.
