Additional Safety Measures Deployed At Trumbull Schools: Police
Police said additional safety measures have been deployed at schools in Trumbull following Tuesday's shooting at a Texas elementary school.

TRUMBULL, CT — Additional safety measures have been deployed at schools in Trumbull at least for Wednesday following the shooting in Uvalde, Texas that left at least 19 students and two adults dead at an elementary school.
In a post on the department's Facebook page Wednesday morning, police addressed the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Texas.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by the senseless tragedy that occurred yesterday in Uvalde, Texas, the post reads. "Additional school safety measures have been deployed at the schools. We ask that any suspicious activity that is seen at or near school property be immediately reported to the Trumbull Police Department."

The department also asked the members of the community "join us in keeping all the victims, families, friends, teachers, school administrators and staff, first responders, and residents of Uvalde, Texas in your thoughts and prayers. May God provide comfort and hold each one of the victims in his loving arms in eternal peace."
