TRUMBULL, CT — A driver was injured after their car crashed into a telephone pole Thursday evening in Trumbull, according to the Trumbull Police Department.
In an email to Patch, Police Lt. Brian Falkenstein said a one-car crash involving a telephone pole was reported just before 5 p.m. in the area of Daniels Farm Road and Roosevelt Drive.
According to Falkenstein, officers quickly determined the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the pole after suffering a medical emergency.
The road was temporarily closed to clear the scene and ensure the pole was repaired, Falkenstein said.
The driver was taken to a hospital to determine the cause of the medical emergency and evaluate minor injuries sustained in the crash, according to Falkenstein.
Crews from the Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company, No. 1, Inc. were also called to the area at the time of the crash, according to the company's Facebook page.
