TRUMBULL, CT — Parks and Recreation announced Monday details for the town's first Trumbull Dog Day Festival.
According to the town website, the festival is presented by Choice Pet and in partnership with Trumbull Animal Group.
The rain or shine event, scheduled to take place Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Unity Park Pavilion, invites guests to enjoy "an unforgettable day celebrating our favorite four-legged family members," according to the town.
Designed for dogs and the people who love them, the inaugural community event will bring together local pet vendors, live demonstrations, fun giveaways and plenty of tail-wagging activities, according to the town.
"Whether your pup is dressing up for our parade, sampling gourmet canine treats or just sniffing out new friends at the park, there is something for every dog and human to enjoy," the website reads.
Town officials noted all dogs must be kept on a leash.
Admission and parking are free, however donations are encouraged, according to the town.
Unity Park Pavilion is located on White Plains Road in Trumbull.
