Trumbull Town Council To Consider Several Proposed Resolutions During Upcoming Meeting: Agenda

TRUMBULL, CT — The Trumbull Town Council is scheduled to consider a number of proposed resolutions during its regular meeting scheduled for Wednesday evening.

According to an agenda available on the town website, the meeting is scheduled to be held at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

Among the items listed on the agenda, the council is scheduled to consider a proposed two-year moratorium on the establishment and development of any new data centers in town.

The proposed moratorium is listed as Resolution TC31-65 and is scheduled for a public hearing, according to the agenda.

The council is also scheduled to hold a public hearing on a proposed resolution regarding e-bike and e-scooter rules, according to the agenda.

Listed as Resolution TC31-64, the proposed resolution would amend the Trumbull Municipal Code to include the following, according to the agenda: "Any person who operates any e-bike or e-scooter within the town of Trumbull in a reckless manner with disregard for the safety of other persons using any public areas, shall be subject to a fine of [$100] for the first offense and [$200] for each subsequent offense, in addition to other remedies."

Another proposed item would authorize First Selectman Vicki Tesoro to sign a Notice of Grant Award from the state Office of Policy and Management and related documents to administer and implement a grant for the Nichols Fire District and Long Hill Fire District, according to the agenda.

Another item listed on the agenda would authorize Tesoro to execute a Tire Collection Program Covered Entity Agreement representing the town's participation in a statewide tire collection and recycling system.

The council is also scheduled to consider appointments to the Land Acquisition Committee, Trumbull Education and Government Access Television Commission, Golf Course Commission and Representative Policy Board of the Aquarion Water Authority, according to the agenda.
