Trumbull Seeking Poll Workers For In-Person Voting

TRUMBULL, CT — The town is seeking poll workers for in-person voting ahead of the upcoming Nov. 3 general election.

According to the town website, Trumbull needs poll workers "to help make sure in-person voting is safe and all eligible votes are counted."

Responsibilities include greeting and checking in voters, handing out ballots, guarding the voting machines and helping voters with visual or mobility issues, according to the town.

Residents must be 16 or older to apply.

Compensation ranges from $200 to $350 and those interested must attend a training session prior to the election, which is usually held the Wednesday evening before Election Day, according to the town.

Election Day start time is 5 a.m. and end time is 9 p.m. or later depending on how long it takes to make sure all the votes have been correctly counted, according to the town.

Poll workers must work the full day, and the town provides lunch and dinner for all poll workers.
