Aquarion Investigating Reports Of Water Discoloration In Trumbull

TRUMBULL, CT — Aquarion Water Company is currently investigating reports of water discoloration in an area of Trumbull, the company said late Thursday morning.

According to the company's website, crews have already been dispatched and are working on a resolution.

If a resident's water appears discolored, Aquarion advises they run a cold water faucet until the water appears clear before resuming normal use.

"To help avoid stains on clothing, we recommend waiting to do laundry until any discoloration has resolved," the company's website reads. "We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."

In a Facebook post around 11 a.m., Trumbull officials said Aquarion and the town are investigating reports of discolored water in the area.
