Armed Man Claimed He Was Robbed: Trumbull PD

This incident is a little out of the ordinary to say the least.

TRUMBULL, CT — Police arrested two men after a report of a man on Leonard Place with a gun July 4.

Police got a 911 call regarding a man running with a gun in his hand on Leonard Place shortly after 9 p.m., said Lt. Douglas Smith, police spokesman.

A nearby officer stopped Rashan Jimenez, 25, of Bridgeport in his car on Leonard Place and located a loaded handgun in the passenger seat, Smith said. Jimenez told police he was chasing his "acquaintance" who stole his wallet. The two met up on the street, a dispute occurred and Jimenez's wallet was taken, he said, according to police.
