Armed Robbery Reported At Trumbull Gas Station: Police

Police said two men struck a clerk at the gas station in the head with a handgun, then fled with cash and other stolen items.

TRUMBULL, CT — Police are investigating an armed robbery reported late Monday night at a Shell gas station on White Plains Road in Trumbull.

In a news release, Police Lt. Brian Weir said the gas station was robbed just before midnight by two young men, one of whom threatened the clerk with a handgun.

The men then struck the clerk in the head with the pistol and fled with cash and other stolen items, Weir said. Police were unable to locate the pair's get-away vehicle that was waiting nearby.

They were both described as men in their late teens or early 20's wearing dark clothing, hoodies and ski masks. They were also both approximately 5-foot, 7-inches tall, according to Weir.
