Arrests At Mall Include Assault, Shoplifting: Trumbull PD
Police recently made arrests at the mall. The incidents are unrelated.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport woman was arrested after she threw a cup of soda at a security guard at the Trumbull mall June 18, according to police.
Brenda Mendez, 47, got into an argument with a janitor in the mall food court over nearby cleaning, police said. Security was called and Mendez was asked to leave the mall.
She argued with security officers in the mall parking lot and threw a cup of soda at one of the guards, police said. She also threw a water bottle at another guard. The incident was captured on video.

Mendez was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace.
A Bridgeport man was arrested after he tried to shoplift more than $1,000 worth of Dyson items at the Trumbull mall.

Police responded to Target June 23. Angel Arocho, 34, put a Dyson vacuum and a fan in a baby stroller and cart and left the store, police said. He was later found in the mall and arrested.
He is charged with fifth-degree larceny and interfering with police.
