Back To School: Trumbull 2026-27 School Calendar

TRUMBULL, CT — Summer is starting to wind down as the first day of school in Trumbull is quickly approaching.

Students will return to the classroom in Trumbull on Thursday, Aug. 27.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. View the full calendar for school closures, early dismissals and other event dates.

Here is a list of dates to know for this school year, according to the 2026-2027 district calendar:

• Aug. 20-21: New teacher orientation.
• Aug. 24-26: Educator professional development days; no school for students.
• Aug. 27: First day of school for students; full day.
• Sept. 7: Labor Day; no school.
• Sept. 15: Early dismissal.
• Sept. 21: Yom Kippur; no school.
• Oct. 12: Indigenous Peoples' Day; no school.
• Oct. 27: Afternoon conferences for grades PK-8; early closing for grades PK-8.
• Oct. 29: Afternoon conferences for grades PK-5; early closing for grades PK-5.
• Nov. 3: Election Day; no school.
• Nov. 5: Evening conferences for grades PK-5; early closing for grades PK-5.
• Nov. 10: Afternoon/evening conferences for grades 6-8; early closing for grades 6-8.
• Nov. 12: Afternoon/evening conferences for grades 9-12; early closing for grades 9-12.

• June 11: Planned last day of school.

If schools are closed due to weather, additional days may be added to the school year.
