Popular Sushi, Hibachi Restaurant Permanently Closes In Trumbull
A sign was recently posted to the restaurant's door informing customers the beloved eatery is "permanently closed."
TRUMBULL, CT — A popular sushi and hibachi restaurant in town recently closed its doors for good.
According to a sign posted to the door of Ichiro Hibachi and Sushi Bar on Wednesday, the restaurant has permanently closed after serving customers in Trumbull for a number of years.
"Dear customers, we are permanently closed," the sign reads. "Thank you for your support."

Nicolette O'Kelly, a registered sanitarian for the Trumbull Health Department, confirmed Wednesday afternoon the restaurant had closed and noted the owners had informed the department about their anticipated closure late last year.
She also noted the department does not currently have information on what could open in that location in the future.

The restaurant, located at 900 White Plains Road, was closed during regular business hours Wednesday afternoon.
The restaurant is also listed as permanently closed on Google, as well as Yelp.
According to the business' website, Ichiro serves authentic and fresh Japanese cuisine while providing customers with "a pleasant and memorable dining experience."
The restaurant is located at a shopping plaza that also houses Bruegger's Bagels and Sunny Daes of Trumbull.
A request for comment from the restaurant was not immediately returned this week.
