Body Of Trumbull Man Found In Maine: Report
He was canoeing with friends Thursday night, officials said.

TRUMBULL, CT — The body of Trumbull man Christopher Hughes, 52, was found in a Maine pond by officials.
Hughes was found shortly after 9 a.m. Friday 200 feet from the shore of Panther Pond in the town of Raymond, according to WTNH.
Hughes was canoeing with coworkers Thursday night. His friend told officials that he heard Hughes yelling, but the group wasn't able to get to him. His body was recovered the next morning.

The search started around 11 p.m. Thursday and included both divers and aircraft, according to the Pen Bay Pilot. The body has been turned over to the Medical Examiner's Officer in Maine and will eventually be returned to Connecticut.
He wasn't wearing a life jacket, and it's unclear what caused him to enter the water.
