TRUMBULL, CT — A 10-year-old boy was safely located Tuesday afternoon at the Westfield Trumbull mall after he had been reported missing for several hours, according to police.

Police Lt. Brian Weir said Jeffrey Hachey Jr. was last seen Monday around noon after walking out of his family's home on Sylvan Avenue.

In an update Tuesday afternoon, Weir said a shopper at the mall noticed the boy walking around inside the mall and realized he fit the description provided in a Silver Alert sent out earlier in the day by police.
