Next Chapter Books

Next Chapter Books (NCB) is the premier training platform and hub for the Trumbull Public Schools’ ELITE (Educating Learners in Transitional Environments) Program, serving 18 to 22-year-old young adults with disabilities receiving employability and life skills instruction at a variety of community-based partner sites prior to exiting public school.

Students are supervised by ELITE staff and work side by side with community volunteers.

NCB strives to be of service to the community as a full service bookstore and cafe. It offers quality, pre-owned books, Background Coffee, baked goods from our culinary partners: Trumbull High School’s Culinary Education Program, Plasko’s Farms, and Big G’s Cookies, as well as author meet and greets, signings, children’s read-alouds, book clubs, and other specials events. NCB, located on the upper level at 2 Daniels Farm Rd. in Trumbull Center, is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm and is accessible by ramp to the left of the Verizon Store and Ran’s Nail Salon.

At NCB customers will get to know our Associates-in-Training as valuable and productive members of the community and as potential employees ready for diverse competitive employment opportunities according to their interests and skills.

We are actively recruiting community volunteers ages 16 and up. Stop by the store, e-mail, or call for more information.

NCB accepts used book donations, no text books or dictionaries, please, at Trumbull High School. Our collection bin is just to the left of the THS main entrance.
