C.E.S. Names New Executive Director
C.E.S. runs four school programs and provides support to school districts in Fairfield County.

TRUMBULL, CT — Dr. Charles Dumais has been named the next executive director of Cooperative Educational Services. Dumais is currently the Amity Regional School District No. 5 superintendent.
Dumais will replace Dr. Evan Pitkoff who announced he would retire at the end of the school year after 11 years at the helm of C.E.S.
C.E.S. operates four school programs and provides training and support services to school districts in Fairfield County.

“Dr. Dumais offers a great combination of energy, enthusiasm and experience to guide C.E.S. in developing and providing educational services to its member districts as well as high-quality instruction directly to students,” said Chris Hocker, who is President of the Representative Council, the governing board of C.E.S.
Dumais served as the principal of Newtown High School from 2008 to 2014 and before that was a Westport assistant principal and a math and science teacher in Higganum.

“I look forward to continuing my work on instructional excellence in a role that allows me to work directly with superintendents, school districts, and communities to best address their unique educational needs while providing direct educational services to students from across 17 districts,” Dumais said.
