Statewide Conversation Addressing Compassionate Health care in the Age of AI

Health care leaders, educators, technologists and policymakers will gather for a breakfast panel and innovation showcase exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping health care while keeping human connection at the center of care.
The event will cover practical uses of AI, emerging ethical and regulatory considerations, and the importance of a human-in-the-loop approach to patient safety, accountability and compassionate care.
Featured speakers are Dr. Rohit Bhalla, senior vice president and chief clinical and quality officer at Stamford Health; Patricia Simino Boyce, dean of Fairfield University’s Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing & Health Studies; health care attorney Jennifer Cox; and Sumit Sajnani, Connecticut’s health information technology officer.
Attendees can also meet representatives from health care AI and technology companies and explore emerging tools designed to support providers, improve operational efficiency, strengthen care coordination and enhance the patient experience.
The Patient Is U, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening empathy, dignity and compassion across the health care system, is presenting the event. It is being held in memory of Claudio Pannuzzio, chairman of the organization’s board.
