Car Burglar Arrested At Trumbull Restaurant: PD
The manager of the restaurant saw a man acting suspiciously and called police.

TRUMBULL, CT — An alert manager at the Sitting Duck restaurant at Madison Avenue helped police apprehend a man who burglarized several vehicles Jan. 30, according to police.
The manager noticed a man in the restaurant was acting suspiciously by moving from seat to seat and looking out windows, said Lt. Keith Golding, police spokesman.
He became nervous as police walked by and went to a restroom. The manager checked on the rest room and found that the man had hidden items in a toilet tank and left his hat and jacket behind.

Police were actively investigating the thefts and detained Vincent Deramo, 41, of Bridgeport. Items hidden in the bathroom were some of the proceeds taken from vehicles, Golding said.
Deramo, who was recently released from prison was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny. He was held on a $10,000 bond.
