Car Crashes Into Building In Trumbull: Long Hill FD
Long Hill officials said the car crashed into a building near the Monroe town line and was removed by fire crews.
TRUMBULL, CT — Fire officials said a car crashed into a Trumbull restaurant Tuesday morning, however the business was able to stay open for business that afternoon.
In a Facebook post, Long Hill Volunteer Fire Company officials said the crash occurred on the Monroe Turnpike near the Monroe town line.
Fire crews secured the area and the building as the vehicle was removed, Long Hill officials said.

Crews also remained in the area as members of the Trumbull Building Department made their way to the scene of the crash, officials said. Photos of the crash can be viewed here.
The Connecticut Post reports the building was 123 Pronto, a grab-and-go restaurant located at 123 Monroe Turnpike. A co-owner told the publication the wall had already been patched up by Tuesday afternoon and the business stayed open to serve customers throughout the afternoon.

According to the restaurant's website, 123 Pronto is "where Italian culinary traditions meet modern gastronomy, a fusion of passion and expertise," offering prepared meals to go and catering.
Menu items include entrees such as chicken and eggplant parmigiana, braised beef short ribs, penne ala vodka and stuffed filet of sole, as well as soups, salads and gluten-free options.
