Cashier Steals $1.2K from Trumbull Kohl's: PD

TRUMBULL, CT- A former cashier was arrested after he was caught stealing more than $1,200 from registers, police said.

Michael Dawson, 19, of Bridgeport was investigated in April after managers at the Hawley Lane story looked into shortages in registers.

Dawson was spotted on camera taking cash out of a register. He was questioned by police and confessed, according to police.

He turned himself in June 16 and was charged with fourth-degree larceny.
