Charges Dismissed Against Bridgeport Sergeant Arrested in Trumbull

TRUMBULL, CT—Charges have been dismissed against a Bridgeport Police sergeant who was arrested following a domestic incident in Trumbull.
Charges were dismissed against Sgt. Stacey Lyons after she completed a family violence counseling program, according to the Connecticut Post.
Lyons was arrested in late October after an incident on Petticoat Lane

Her former boyfriend said that he was home with a female friend and went to bed when he heard his garage door open, according to Trumbull Police. Lyons had the garage door code and he found her in the residence.
She refused to leave and the argument turned physical. The ex-boyfriend sustained a minor bite wound to his lower forearm and an abrasion to his nose, police said.

Lyons left the scene and was later found at her Shelton home. She told police the two were still in a dating relationship, according to police. She was issued a misdemeanor summons for disorderly conduct.
