A Community Event to Raise Awareness & Funds for Charlie Capalbo
A Community Event to raise money for Charlie Capalbo, a young man fighting strong against cancer.
A mitzvah project, is a good deed: Olivia Lagano, a Trumbull resident has chosen to put together a benefit dance performance to raise money and awareness for Charlie Capalbo for her mitzvah. Charlie is the cousin of Harrison Jarit, one of Olivia’s best friends and fellow dance mates, which is how Olivia learned about Charlie and his illness. Olivia was inspired by Charlie’s brave and courageous attitude and she knew she had to do something for him and his family. Putting on a benefit dance concert, which would include all her friends, felt like the right thing.
Charlie is a strong young man fighting through a rare form of cancer. Diagnosed in March 2017, during his senior year of high school, with non hodgkin’s acute lymphoblastic lymphoma T-cell stage 3 cancer. Charlie has been fighting strong ever since. He has gone through extremely long and difficult courses of treatment and been in and out of the hospital for the past year and will continue to go through treatments for the next two years to fight this terrible disease and all the side effects that come along with it.
Olivia Lagano and her fellow dancers and friends have decided to fight strong along side of Charlie and help this wonderful young man and his family.
