TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull officials are done asking people to comply with playground and other field closures and will begin fining violators.

"Effective Thursday, police will begin issuing Trespassing fines to those who continue to ignore warnings and other posted restrictions in Town parks and all school property and playgrounds," said Lt. Brian Weir, police spokesman. "The violations will be addressed with an infraction, which carries a fine that is paid to the State."

All town parks and playgrounds are closed, including school fields and courts. The Rails-to-Trails walking path is still open, but residents are reminded to observe social distancing.
