Counterfeit Bills Seized In Trumbull: PD
The bills were found during a motor vehicle stop.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport teen was arrested after he was found in possession of counterfeit money, according to police.
An officer pulled a vehicle over on Dec. 17 because it had a piece of paper in place of a license plate. The operator couldn't produce registration or insurance and the vehicle smelled of marijuana, police said.
The vehicle was searched and three $10 bills and one $100 bill were found to be counterfeit, according to police. No marijuana was found.

Tyler Ballew, 19, said he knew the bills were fake and that they belonged to his cousin. He was charged with first-degree forgery and several motor vehicle violations. Bond was set at $5,000.
