Counterfeit Ring Busted In Trumbull: PD
Police made multiple arrests after fake credit cards, cash and electronic card readers were found.

TRUMBULL, CT — Four men were arrested as part of a counterfeiting ring after counterfeit money, credit cards and credit card readers were found in a vehicle after an investigation at the Trumbull mall Jan. 9, according to police.
A patrol officer noticed three suspicious people enter the mall and split up after spotting the patrol car, said Capt. Keith Golding, police spokesman. The three quickly exited the mall and went to a parked vehicle. A manager from the Apple Store approached the officer and said the three tried to use fake credit cards to make several large purchases.
The getaway vehicle was stopped on Main Street. Driving it was Shaheen Hopson, 22, of Bronx, NY. Nearly two dozen fake credit cards were found in the vehicle, Golding said. Marcus Fredericks 27, of Zacery Trail,Ellabell, GA, Devon Ross 21, of West Mosholu Street, Bronx, NY and Shaheed Clarke 21, of Concord Avenue, Bronx, NY were taken into custody.

All four were charged with illegal use of a scanning device, third-degree identity theft, second-degree forgery and several other related charges. Each was held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
