Daytime Trumbull Burglaries Investigated

Residents were home during one of the burglaries.

TRUMBULL, CT — Police are seeking to identify a male suspected wanted in two burglaries that occurred on June 26.

Police were called to Walk Road and Thomas Street by residents who said their homes were entered, said Lt. Douglas Smith, police spokesman.

Both burglaries occurred around 9:30 a.m. The suspect climbed through windows and stole small items. In one case the home was occupied by two elderly residents who were home at the time.

Both locations are located off Main Street between Town Hall and Stonehouse Road.

Surveillance video of the suspect on his bicycle was taken from one of the burglaries.

"Detectives are asking the public if they recall seeing or speaking to this male yesterday morning to contact us with any information," Smith said.

The suspect is described by police as a white, possibly Hispanic male, dark hair, blue shirt over light

blue shirt, wearing a backpack on bicycle.
