Deborah Brewster, 69, of Trumbull

Deborah Schramm Brewster (Debbie), age 69, wife, mother and cherished friend to everyone who knew her passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 9, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 2, 1947, Debbie lived in Trumbull, CT for the past 33 years raising her family and then enjoying her grandchildren.

Debbie was an avid Steelers fan, a reader of anything and everything and a lover of wine and cheese doodles. However, her true passion was her family and friends. Debbie instilled a zest for life in everyone who had the good fortune to know her. She was totally committed to her family, friends, good grammar and proper etiquette.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 46 years, William Brewster, and loving children, Joshua G. Brewster and wife Leigh, Sarah B. Mellinger and husband Scott and Amy B. Steves and husband Ian, as well as her seven grandchildren, "Great Aunt" Connie Lehaney and special friend, sister in Law Vicki Brewster.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Debbie's Hospice Care team, especially Thierry Beauregard and John Morrison. Their compassion and support was invaluable, during this difficult time.

Debbie's wish for all her friends and family is that they take the time to slow down and enjoy their friends and loved ones and raise a glass to celebrate her life and legacy of love.

Friends and relatives may greet the family on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A memorial service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trumbull Hospice Team, 12 Cambridge Dr., Trumbull, CT 06611.
