TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull Public Schools will be closed Monday due to a forecasted winter storm, the district announced Sunday.
According to the district's website, schools will be closed Feb. 23 as a major snowstorm is expected to impact the region over the next 24 hours.
A blizzard warning has been issued for all of southern Connecticut as 60 mph wind gusts are possible Sunday night into Monday.

The heavy snow moves in this evening and really ramps up at night and Monday morning with snowfall rates of 2 inches per hour expected.

Coastal sections of Connecticut could see total snow accumulations between 16 and 24 inches. Snow accumulations between 16 and 20 inches are possible for inland areas.
