Decision Made On Tuesday Classes At Trumbull Public Schools

Trumbull Public Schools has announced a change in schedule following heavy snow that impacted the region Sunday into Monday.

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull Public Schools will have a 2-hour delay Tuesday following a heavy snowstorm that impacted the region Sunday into Monday.

According to the district's website, schools will have a 2-hour delay Jan. 27 "to ensure that our parking lots and school entrances are fully open and safe."

District officials also acknowledged there may be some sidewalks on the way to school that are not fully cleared.

"Walkers may go to the nearest intersection and bus drivers are being told to pick up those walkers," the announcement reads. "School Staff - We ask that you respect the two-hour delay and avoid coming to work too early. Our staff needs the morning to complete the clean-up procedure and parked cars can make that very difficult."

The weekend storm left piles of snow all across the state, with some areas of Connecticut receiving 12 to 18 inches of snow.
