Dispute Over Senior Discount Ends in Trumbull Arrest: PD
An unruly passenger had to be taken off a bus in Trumbull after a dispute over the senior discount, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT- A 70-year-old woman was arrested after a dispute over the senior discount on a bus.
Police responded to the Trumbull mall bus stop area June 16 on a report of an unruly passenger.

They found Geannie Rogers of Bridgeport who said she would only leave the bus in handcuffs, which is how the incident ended, police said.
Rogers asked for the senior discount on a Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority bus and the driver asked her to show ID. She quickly showed her ID and the driver requested to see it again, police said.

She then made fun of the driver's sexual orientation, according to police.
A bus manager offered to give the woman a full refund, but that she wouldn't be allowed to use the buses for the rest of the day.
She was charged with second-degree breach of peace and interfering with police.
