Driver On Tire Rim Charged With DUI: Trumbull PD
Officers noticed a loud thumping noise in the distance and then saw a car drive by on one of its rims.
TRUMBULL, CT — A driver was arrested for DUI after he was seen driving around town on a tire rim, according to police.
Police were conducting an unrelated motor vehicle stop Aug. 25 around 9:44 p.m. when they heard a loud thumping noise and a vehicle on one of its rims passed.
Officers stopped the driver, who failed field sobriety tests, police said.
