Drop Off Unwanted Pills in Trumbull

The campaign is part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

TRUMBULL, CT — The Police Department and DEA will provide an opportunity to get rid of unwanted prescription pills on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day April 29.

The event will be held April 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Daniels Farm School, 710 Daniels Farm Road. Pills can be dropped off no questions asked. Liquids and needles can't be accepted.

Last October Americans turned in more than 366 tons of drugs.

The goal of the campaign is to make sure that prescription pills don't fall into the wrong hands and end up leading to addiction.

Police also offer a disposal bin in their lobby that can be used anytime.
