Drug Arrest Made In Trumbull: PD

A man was arrested after being found after hours in a park, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested after being caught with drugs after hours at the Rails to Trails parking lot on Quarry Road Oct. 2, according to police.

An officer spotted two people who said they were just leaving the park around 1:40 a.m. The officer smelled marijuana and Samuel Andujar, 53, said he had smoked some earlier, police said.

Police found Andujar was holding a bill that had a white powder substance on it. More white powder was found in a bag in his pocket, police said. He admitted it was cocaine.

Police also found three separate bags of marijuana and a large sum of cash in small denominations.

He was charged with possession with intent to sell a narcotic and possession of more than half an ounce of marijuana. Bond was set at $2,500.
