Drug Bust Nets 2 Trumbull Arrests: PD

A suspicious vehicle was pulled over by an officer and drugs were found inside, according to police.

TRUMBULL, CT — Two Bridgeport residents were arrested after Xanax pills and marijuana were found in a vehicle during a traffic stop.

An officer parked at Mullins Funeral Home shortly before 3 a.m. Nov. 19 saw a vehicle driving slowly that turned around on White Plains Road twice before making a stop at nearby Abriola Funeral Home.

The officer approached the vehicle in his patrol car and it started to move away. He put on his police lights and the vehicle stopped.

He noticed a green leafy substance in one of the occupant's laps, police said. A search of the vehicle yielded Xanax pills, several plastic bags of marijuana, marijuana-laced brownies and a scale along with cash in small denominations.

Both occupants claimed ownership of the drugs. In total .65 ounces of marijuana, eight brownies, two scales and 28 Xanax pills were seized, according to police.

Kevin Alvarez, 19, and Alisa Cesero, 18, were charge with sale of a narcotic substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Alvarez was also charged with possession of more than half an ounce of marijuana.
