DUI Arrest After Car Drags Bumper: Trumbull PD

Her licence plate was found at a crash scene, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Trumbull woman was arrested after she was found to be driving while intoxicated after a crash earlier in the night according to police.

A patrol officer noticed a car with heavy front end damage driving Feb. 20 before 2 a.m. in the area of Church Hill Road near White Plains Road, police said. The car's bumper was dragging against the road.

Operator Shirley Ochoa, 22, failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. She said she had come from work in Bridgeport and had two Long Island iced teas, police said. Her BAC was measured at .206 and .205.

Trumbull Police later learned that Bridgeport Police were investigating a hit-and-run accident near East Main Street after a sign was hit. Ochoa's car's licence plate was left behind at that scene, police said. She was charged with DUI by Trumbull Police.
