DUI Crash Ends In Arrest: Trumbull PD

A Trumbull man was arrested following a crash.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Trumbull man was arrested after he was involved in a crash while intoxicated, according to police.

Alan Sierer, 28, took a left turn out of the Woodland Hills condominium complex onto Route 111 when he collided with an oncoming car, police said.

A witness said he saw Sierer toss a brown paper bag on the side of the road, according to police. Sierer failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. Officers found the bag with empty liquor bottles, police said.

Sierer's blood-alcohol content was tested and found to be more than three times the legal limit for driving, according to police. He was charged with DUI and failure to stop at a stop sign.
