DUI Crash Leads To Arrest: Trumbull PD
Bridgeport Police ended up catching the offender, Trumbull Police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested after he fled a crash scene while intoxicated, according to police. Officers responded to White Plains Road near Route 25 for the crash Dec. 16.
A motorist was hit by a vehicle which then sped off. Trumbull Police relayed the vehicle description to surrounding towns and Bridgeport Police quickly found it on Washington Avenue.
The vehicle had heavy damage and was missing parts that were found at the scene of the Trumbull crash, police said.

Mark Pettit, 58, failed field sobriety tests and his BAC results came back at .146 and .141, police said. He was charged with evading responsibility, DUI and making an improper turn.
